Ministry of Health Palliative Care Course for Family Physicians
Developed and taught by the Centre, this course is one of only a handful of programs in Ontario that offer physicians specialized training in palliative pain and symptom management.
The course requires that a pre- and post test be completed and that the participant attend 6 sessions of 3 hours each. The individual sessions apply a case and problem based learning approach to the study of Palliative Care. The successful participant will receive a certificate for 18 Mainpro C credits. Royal College CPD credits are also available on request.

Ian Anderson Project
The TLCPC is a partner of the Ian Anderson Continuing Education Program in End-of-Life Care. This program will educate 10,000 primary care physicians and specialists across Canada over a five-year period to deal with issues surrounding death and dying. The lasting legacy of the program will be a network of physicians across Canada who have been trained to care for patients who are terminally ill, as well as helping to shape and remold attitudes towards the dying among physicians, legislators, media, and the public.
